Black Bean Hummus

2 cans (15 ounce) low-sodium black beans (rinse in water and drain first)

3 cloves of garlic

1 Tbsp. olive oil

1 Tbsp. tahini

4 Tbsp. lemon juice

1 tsp. cumin

½ tsp sea salt



  1. Place all of the ingredients into a food processor, process until smooth.
  2. Try a taste and add more garlic and/or cumin to taste.
  3. For a spicy version, add ¼ – ½ tsp. chili powder.
