Caroline Blair (Age 27)

I started working out and receiving nutritional information from Amanda in 2009. I heard of Edge Fitness (formerly Fit4Life) through friends and had seen her at the gym but was not ready to commit to anything life changing.

In 2009, I found myself at a depressing 235 pounds. Through my bachelors degree I had gone from 130 to 235 pounds.
I looked at myself in the mirror and did not recognize myself. I could not do anything I enjoyed and never felt confident in myself. I felt trapped in a fat suit and was so unhappy. In 2009 I realized how important it was for me to take care of myself and to love myself in order to ultimately enjoy my life. I just wanted to be happy with myself, that was really my goal.
Overall, I’ve gone from around 43% body fat to 23% body fat. I’ve lost 85lbs and I’ve gone from wearing a size 20 to a size 8. I’ve gone from sitting on my butt all evening and eating large portions of food to ease my emotions to getting out and enjoying life. I hike, I cycle, I run, I work out, I snow shoe and I love every minute of it! I completed the Seattle to Portland this year – that is 204 miles on a bike! I climbed Mt. St. Helen’s and backpacked 30 miles in three days this summer!

These are all the results and successes, but the true result and success has been the lasting internalized change that comes from Amanda’s continual commitment to teaching clients how to make this a life style. She gives you every tool you need to succeed and will give them to you over and over again until you are ready to use them. Working with Amanda has truly been life changing. Currently, I am working on losing the last of the 100lbs I gained by using her nutritional program and training for a half marathon.
